I have read an article in a magazine about 5 reasons why girls want to break up with their boys.
1st; Not stopping bad habits like smoking and gambling
2nd; Stop saying them 'I love you'
3rd; Thinking that his love is too heavy
4th; Arguing frequently
5th; Stop contacting by phone
I would be aware of this list and careful to treat my girlfriend.

'Hawaiian Culture'
I was looking for a book from a book shelf from my host family's house, and I found a book about the Hawaiian culture. I started reading this book because i want to know more about Hawaii. This book is less than 100 pages and has many pictures. I read this book, and I learned more about Hawaii. The most interesting thing for me was the Hawaiian legend. I learned about the gods in Hawaii.
The Romeo an Juliet
The first book I picked when I came to Hawaii as a reading journal is 'Romeo and Juliet'. I read it because it is a well-known book, but I did not know the story. Therefore, it is a good chance for me to try it in English. This book is a short story, and does not contain many difficult words, so I think many people can enjoy reading it. I felt sad when I finished reading because the ending of this book is sad. However, I also felt the deep love between Romeo and Juliet. I also would like to have someone who is worth dying for her. I think I would watch a film or a play of it to find out more about this story.
How to Study New Vocabularies
This is my first reading journal. I would like to start with how to study new words. However, I think my method is similar to everyone. As Cynthia said before, I cannot memorize words without using them. So I always try to remember words by using in a daily conversation and making examples or associate something that are related to them. Also I make a set of vocabulary cards, which has the word in front and the meaning at back. Vocabulary is my weakness point. Therefore, building up vocabulary is one of the most important factor to improve my English and TOEFL score.
